Mary Tidlund, born in Calgary, Alberta, now in Canmore, Alberta, a Canadian resident has chosen to give back to the world community through her philanthropy with The Mary A. Tidlund Charitable Foundation that she founded eleven years ago working in 18 countries many health and education programs.

She intends to inspire and engage as many people as possible in giving and receiving from their heart and their minds. Mary has worked as a President and CEO of a publicly traded oil and gas exploration and service company, has owned a clothing store, art gallery and restaurant.

These have been the basis of her entrepreneurial awards and business background.

Mary chose to create and operate a charitable organization as a way to give back a bit of the abundance she has been given in life. It evolved from initially working on the foundation generated programs and then to help others make their dreams of giving back come true with an emphasis on international programs. In her travels and work with people from all over the world she knows there is no difference between people, just different cultures.

In her work she experiences the transformation of individuals while working in different cultures and then the witnessing of the expansion of their lives when they return. At an early age Mary learned the value of giving and receiving from her adoptive parents. As an oil-executive-turned-philanthropist, she inspires and engages as many people as possible in giving and receiving from their hearts and their minds focusing on education, health and the alleviation of poverty.

The Mary A. Tidlund Foundation was founded eleven years ago and has programs in 17 countries. Our vision is to grow and work together as a creative part of the world community with respect, compassion, understanding and openness to empowering each other. Our objectives, through a combination of volunteers and financial funding are to exchange knowledge and assist in the transformation of all we work with.
